Professional Go Workshop Survey:
In sum, the survey suggests that most people prefer the workshops be in Portland, and that the most reasonable price to charge is $100. Full survey results will be posted on the Willamette Valley Go Listserv.
Professional Go Visit II:
The Corvallis and Portland Go clubs have decided to bring Guo Juan, to Corvallis in late June. The event will be organized and held in Corvallis. The Portland Go club will insure this workshop against loss the same as for pro workshops held in Portland. Please contact Cynthia Gaty or Bob O'Malley for details.
Efforts to promote Go via demonstrations in the Chinese gardens are ongoing with the next event occurring on 3/6/2011.
Peter noted that the students at Irvington school are now using the set he left in their library, working on Go problems, and have come on occasion at the Sunday Tabor Space Go meeting.
Glenn signed the Portland Go Club to be part of the Portland Geek Council of Commerce and Culture which may be a new venue for promoting Go.
Glenn Peters will purchase 35 thin wooden Go boards for easier transport to tournaments, demos, and other locations.
No activity has occurred since the last report.
