[computer-go] Computer Go tournament at US Go Congress

VMWare and MS Virtual PC are programs then emulate a PC and run an entire OS within the application.  Both products are free for non-commercial use.

The performance difference is not as bad as you might expect.  I don't think it would be an issue.
