I looked over our logs and this is what I found:

***** begin snip from log file *****
Two successive passes. Reset SlugGo!
Final score game 1: W+346.5
Game time: 1007
closing sgf
closeSlugGoSGF returning
clearing hash table
gtp:final_status_list dead
Mar 4, 2007 9:31:05 AM org.igoweb.kgs.client.gtp.GtpClient d
FINE: Dead stones all submitted to server
Mar 4, 2007 9:31:16 AM org.igoweb.igoweb.client.gtp.P j
INFO: Disagreement over tournament scoring. Switching to cleanup mode.
gtp:undo
gtp:undo
gtp:kgs-genmove_cleanup w
New level 10 (346 white 1 95 48)
gnugo_genmove calling mpi_genmove
gnugo US said pass so we pass
mpi_genmove PASSING
***** end snip *****

So, I do not have a log of SlugGo's reply to
gtp:final_status_list_dead, but it is clear that the KGS server got
something. Whatever the reply might have been, it is clear that when
cleanup mode was started, SlugGo was told to back up the 2 passes,
and then passed again. It seems that SlugGo is not sending the INFO
that we are to enter cleanup mode down to the GNU Go engines. There
could also be problems caused by SlugGo resetting as soon as the two
passes happen.

We have work to do!

Cheers,
David
