this seems like a good idea.  another possibility
would be to let players sign up for either "first
available" (i.e. goal #3 matched players) or "best
available" (goal #1 & #2 matched).  the idea is
that they'd be different pools.

i'm thinking about how i sometimes get the opportunity
to have a truly great player sit down and give me a
teaching game.  it's really nice.  of course, with
all of the teeming masses of weak players who would
like teaching games from the very fewer strong
players, there's no reason to expect that it should
happen for me all that often.
