[computer-go] How to improve my minimax speed?

Many Faces of go typically looks at about 20 or 30 moves, and doesn't
analyze the rest at all.  I don't prune bad moves.  Instead I only analyze
moves that look like they might be good (chosen by patterns or tactics, or
some full board analysis).
