Hi Steve,

AI uses a huge variety of  knowledge representations. Just look at 
any AI text-book. The one you choose depends on the type of problem 
you solving and the way you choose to solve it. For example, my Go 
program uses a forward-chaining rule based system. This is one of the 
representations used in most Expert Systems.
