[computer-go] An interesting Go variant?

To me it sounds quite similar (in practice, not in rules) to Atari Go, 
since:

a) the variant gives such an extreme value to captures, and
b) makes forbidden the same sorts of Go strategies that Atari Go does, for 
example killing a group with only one (large) eye by playing a stone in 
that large eye

It would be interesting, I think, to play a few games and see if it 
differed at all in strategy from Atari Go.
