If you want to inform you about the different ethical concepts in
Catholicism and Protestantism you should read the classical work of
Max Weber: "Die protestantische Ethik und der 'Geist' des Kapitalismus"
(The Protestantic Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism). Its a hard core
sociological work, but worth reading.
The work is not explicitly about catholicism, but its clear that there is a
major difference. Otherwise the title would something be like "Christian
Ethic". But Webers study is what is new/different in Protestanism which
enabled modern capitalism.
Sorry has also nothing to do with Computer-Go, but its really a very
interesting work.

Is this all off topic? I think not. We are discussing about things like e.g.
licencses. In this discussion everbody has his own culture in his
background. Although the words are the same, the meaning is different. I
aggree, that one should not discuss this all the time, but one can also not
neglect this differences.
