Don, my decision what kind of license to use is already made. I think
that has been clear from the beginning.

The part of the discussion that I still think warrants some time and
attention is whether and how to mix with other projects that are
under a different license.

From what I've read so far my inclination is not to mix licenses. It
will be cleanest, clearest and provide the least possibilities of
trouble and misunderstandings. If this means (partly) reinventing
some wheels that are only available under another, more restrictive
license then that can't be helped.

Of course this does not exclude the possiblity that some people will
use this project and interface it with projects under another
license. After all, open-source allows a lot of actions by others.
But I won't encourage it.

Mark
