I don't think it's an issue of "more" or "less" free, it's just an issue 
of what your intention is with regards to forks of your project.

If you want to force forks to remain free, you want a GPL-like license.
If you want forks to have the ability to be non-free, you want a BSD-like 
license.

They are two separate goals, and the important part of choosing a license 
is deciding which of the two is your goal. I've used both licenses in 
different projects because the different projects have different goals.
