I think that for a succesful project (for example all the projects in
http://jakarta.apache.org), this is not a problem. You gain from the
project, anyone that want to take advantage from it, would have the way full
of obstacles... or if he/she were succesful, this fact would validate your
own project, and you would gain in the process....
In my opinion, a BSD-like license is more free...

Gogui is GPL so ... using its code would have consequences on your project.
BSD license allowed µsoft to reuse BSD network stack in winNT or win2k
(i dont remember) with no know feedback, so for sure it allows commercial
competitors to reuse your code with nothing for you.
GPL is great :)
