I have ported gnugo for java. True that not get much help lately but some 
notable help anyway. My main intrest is not "port" it currently
because it gpl lisence and problem using it in competitions. It is quite 
functional and much modified to OO/jdk 1.5 and my EA needs  however if 
anybody is intrested gnugo java porting please check that.
